IN-CLASS WORKSHOPS

Can’t come to Burns Bog? Let us bring Burns Bog to YOU! We offer In-Class Workshops at your school or facility.

Our Workshops are fully hands-on and interactive, with displays, activities, and demonstrations to teach your class about Burns Bog and other Peatlands.  Enjoy breath-taking images of the wildlife, rich ecosystems, and bog flora taken directly from Burns Bog.

??All material in the workshops aligns with updated BC Curricular Competencies.

Duration: 90 mins
Age/Grade: Suitable and adapted for all ages (from kindergarten to adult)
Cost: $125 per workshop (max 30) + 0.53 per km over 20 km from the Society Office

Bonus: All workshops include an activity from our teacher resource book (Full resource manuals “For Peat’s Sake” or “A Crane’s Eye View” are available for purchase).

Workshops are suitable for all ages and can be fully customized to meet your group’s needs.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • A $25.00 non-refundable deposit is charged upon booking.
  • Workshops cancelled with less than 2 weeks notice will be charged for 50% of the total Workshop cost.
  • Workshops cancelled with less than one weeks notice will be charged for the full Workshop cost.
  • Workshops rescheduled with less than 2 weeks notice must pay an additional $25 booking deposit to rebook.
